Spring will soon be with us and already we are looking forward to talking to potential new members for the regional committee. Letters to all member group representatives will be going out shortly (in digital form) and a copy of both the letter and 2010 nomination form are already available on this web site.

The committee is particularly shorthanded at present after the sudden death before Christmas of Gill Miller (Guardian obituary) and any offers of help would be more than welcome (it's not essential to be a committee member to offer skills in a wide variety of jobs).

In preparation for the new Making Music year, plans are well advanced to hold an Open Day at Bromsgrove School on Saturday April 17 2010. Part of the morning will be taken up by live demonstrations of both the national and regional web sites with particular emphasis on using the Knowledge Bank (including information sheets and programme notes) and also the Services area where considerable information on each member group is located.

And just before we have an in depth discussion on Funding, we shall have the pleasure of a  piano recital from the winner of the 2010 Chandos Young Musician competition, Osman Tack.
