Established choir Boys Make Noise, which is now celebrating its fifth year, will play Bromsgrove's Artrix at 7.30 pm tonight (Friday). The choir, which will be joined by local theatrical percussion group Glamba, was set up in 2005 at Catshill Middle School to enable boys to discover how exciting it is to perform together and appreciate the art of music. The group is funded by the David Morgan Music Trust and is led by tenor Russell Painter who ensures a varied programme, including musical theatre, pop, rock, jazz and classical styles of singing. Tickets, which are £5 or £3 (concessions) are available from Artrix on 01527 572795. |

The David Morgan Music Trust has recently donated 25% of the costs involved for two Early Music ensemble workshops to be performed at Parkside Middle School, the St John C of E Foundation Middle School and North Bromsgrove High School. The project will include all types of instruments involving Dr Micaela Schmitz, Andrew Watts, Kate Fawcett and Barbara Dunn who are all specialists in this area. |

Now in its fifth year the boys choir from Catshill Middle School, under the tutelage of Russell Painter, will work with the Bromsgrove Percussion Group Glamba in three workshops during the summer term and then give a joint concert in the Artrix on 18 June 2010. |
